If, we tired to do a showroom shine the way you just described it would take hours! Markpearl91tt, was right about the 3M products and orange peel, only difference is that we start with 1500 and end with the Trizac 3000(from 3M). The wet sanding style is what we used to use years ago, until 3M introduced the Hook-it system for our DA's, so now we use a DA, to cut the clearcoat, instead. It cutss hours and you get the same quality, if not better. Don't get me wrong wet sanding is a good way but it's just too slow and a real "PRO" would not go that route. Do's: We do use a highspeed buffer and using a high speed with an adjustable speed control is recommended. Dont's: We don't use Meguiars product's and use 3M instead. 3M, is the best and is used by the best. Btw, it's called stages not "steps". Most our Z's are 2 stage paint jobs but some are actually 3 stage paint job's. This would make a great tech ASH but should be labeled, "As good as pro's just time consuming". Anyways, you did a nice buffing job on your Z. -Jeff
