they do need to be there. However they should start out small to attract alot of other members and then gradually increase as the benifits are added. The only local discount was with Douglas Nissan that already bends you over for parts, so the discount, just brings the price back down to MSRP. I offered some creative ideas for bringing revenue into the club, through sponsorships and co-events with other organizations, but was never responded was never responded to. When Greg and a few other Sin City Z people went on the cruise that I organized, they complained about the lack of organization, my plan was just to get everyone together, get the people out there, go for a drive and have a good time with some spirited driving. Their turned out to be about 3 groups of us on the way back, a few in the front going fast, some in the middle, and then the ones in the rear that wanted to just cruise. We waited up for everyone and then went and had some food. The only thing I heard from those guys was a bunch of complaining, driving too fast and not organized (wasn't meant to be). Then a few of us show up at the next meeting, only to be castrated again about driving too fast (fast = about 80-100). Besides one guy in a stealth with us that did 160, who cares, it is his ticket....Fealt that was a bit on the negative, side but decided to give it another try, I was going to go to the Car Show, but 8:00 am was a bit early for me and I didn't feel like going to pick my car up at my friends house. so I didn't show up, then I get an email about dues being 35 bucks, which is close to triple what Greg said they would be 10-15 on the cruise.... Anyways, my saga, we do plan on organizing some other Sports Car events locally, so I will keep you posted on that progress... Oh and discounts that car organizations offer locally, can usually be gotten just by haggling with the merchant a little bit.... Aaron
