Today I'm requesting permission to take defensive driving for a speeding ticket. :There is this corner by my house that gets horribly backed up in the morning. i know this, because it is about 100 yards from the entrance of my neighborhood.
:I start school at 7:15, which is 2 miles away. I left my house at 6:50 knowing this corner is bad. So im sitting there for about five minutes, and i finally get up to the light. There are about 10 or so cars behind me, all waiting to go.
:Im waiting for a minute or two for a gap when I finally see one, i slide in and pull up to a decent following length behind the car in front of me.
:The car behind me (white Escalade) with a female driver gets RIGHT on my ass to the point where i can barely see her headlights because they are too high.
:(this was all within 10 seconds, and 50 yards or so)
:The car in front of me turns off, so i pull ahead to move away from the Escalade (in 3rd gear now), but it turns off right where the first car did. No problem, I left off the gas and go to shift to fourth.
:Just as i put in my clutch i see a cop pass and hit his brakes.
:wooooonderful. i look down, 58mph. Ok, not too bad. So he comes up and puts on his lights, so i pull over
:Its about 6:58 now, he walks over...
:"how you doing today"
:"fine"
:"you were really moving when you came around that turn, do you know how fast you were going"
:"i never went past 56."
:"i clocked you at 76. what gear were you in"
:"i was in third, officer"
:"i dont buy that"
:"i had just come off of jackson mills road, i couldnt have gotten up to speed that fast"
:"you were the lead in traffic, whats with that?
:"i pulled in between cars, i was waiting at that corner for a while and i pulled in between two cars, they both turned onto freehold road"
:"wait here son."
:10 minutes pass
:about 7:10 now.
:"where did you say you were headed."
:"school"
:"when does that start?"
:"7:15"
:"oh, so you're in a rush to get there?"
:"not really, i was really early." (if he hadn't pulled me over i would have gotten to school around 7:00" (remind you, i have to be there at 7:15)
:"so you were rushing."
:pulls out a ticket.
:"do you know why i am giving you this"
:...
:"because i really have no tolerance for you provisional highschool drivers. it is for 63 in a 50. the court date is on the bottom, if you want we can talk then."
:walks away.

:so gay. 13 over. $88.
:first speeding ticket.. but im sure my insurance will rape me.
