First, my comment -- without a completely custom-tuned ECU -- to that particular car -- an AFC will still be needed to lean/richen the mixture to get the best HP. Even with my JWT dual-pop and large injector program, I needed it to get the most HP out of my particular car, since all cars are slightly different when modified with various tweaks -- different turbos, ported throttle bodies and intakes, etc. I got an extra 30 RWHP with fine-tuning of the AFC. Second, my question -- I have the dual-pop with driveability kit, and Blitz filters. Since the blitz filters have no screw for splash shield attachment, I have issues with turbulent air over the MAS confusing it and causing stumbling, etc. With the airbox I built to shield the filters, I lose (naturally) airflow and therefore spool-up and power overall. How is this design affected by turbulent air?
