| MAS you are metering is seeing exactly 1/2 of the intake air. In the ECU I modify a few values to compensate for this so that only measuring half of the intake air will still deliver the proper amount of fuel. The design itself is what makes the setup work. What is interesting to me is to see some of the questions about the intake setup I have when it is applied to the JWT setup. Ask yourself this: In the JWT setup, they only monitor one MAS on one side. What's to say that both sides pull in the exact same amount of air? :) The "X" design is a mechanical "adder" and "divider". It doesn't matter if one side is pulling more air than the other, the total airflow is added at the shared area of the "X" and then since both sides have equal sized pipes coming down to the MAS units and filters, it equally divides the total airflow by 2. This is why this design maintains stable air metering while only measuring half of the intake air. Its just like measusring all of the flow and then dividing by two.
