Message Coupla' thangs worth mentioning. The horns themselves are very fine quality, what you would expect from German manufacturing.

The kit from Griot's Garage came with everything I needed, including connectors and extra wire. Thanks to Harry for suggesting them.

They are a bit pricey, but I've had experience with cheaper horns failing on me. You should only have to install your horns once, and that's the feeling I get from these :c)

Our stock set up is with two horns, one on each front corner, each supplied by a single postive power wire. With the Hellas, you have to add a ground. For some strange reason, the directions try to get you to run a common ground wire that connects the two horns together. Since I used stock mounting locations, that would mean running a wire all the way across the front, behind the fascia somewhere. Not a big deal, but much cleaner to just run two separate short ground wires to the car body right next to each horn, which is what I did.

Since these horns are about 1 1/2 times bigger in size than stock, I simply couldn't fit my hands in the tight space behind the fascia to do the install in the exact same mounting hole on the passenger side. Fortunately, there were quite a few available mounting points.

If you already happen to have your front fascia off, then it would be beyond easy. I worked from the front through the fascia, and above after removing the nose panel, sometimes at the same time with a "reach around," one hand above and one hand below, lol.

The sound is, well, German. I must admit, my first instinct when I heard it was, WTF? The sound is higher pitched, louder, much more blaring and serious, with a definite "get out of the way" tone and not the "please move" beep of the stock horns. They definitely sound foreign. No one will think you're driving a Buick if they just hear you. They aren't "air horn" loud, but I didn't want to go that route, anyway. After getting used to the change in pitch and tone, I really like them. The red housings look great on my red Z, not that folks will be checking out my horns much.

The horns were easy to install compared to the job Yugo did for me afterwards, installing my new shocks and springs. They turned out great, too :c)
