Message	one of the numerous front bumpers available in Polyeurethine ect, woudl last longer and not be nearly as much of a compromise, race cars use CF yes, but then when it smashes and needs replacig its not a massive issue, bonnets or hoods as you guys call them dont really smash into pavments and bits and bobs :) :
