| I take it that $40K includes the cost of the car, correct? I can't see it being that much OVER the cost of the car even though yours is tricked to the gills and quite nice :) That being said, it's a majorly tough call. The first thing I'd think about is major costs. The stuff that went wrong this year, honestly, was relatively minor compared to a lot of people. I know...it's a lot of little things that add up but still :) Then again, I don't know what happened last year and I don't know your exact past on the car. You DO have to draw a line somewhere. So if you do indeed see yourself slowing down with the shows, I can completely understand that feeling. You get to a certain point and it tires you out. Now, if the majority of that car's use was for show, you may indeed want to think about a change because it sounds like the reasons are right. However, the car is probably too much of an investment to leave in the garage for the occasional Z meet/cruise, right? Well, you have a few options and here they are in no particular order and some are more extreme than others: -Put the car up for sale with no rush to sell it. Start high and see if anyone bites. You may find the right buyer that would make it a lot less painful to sell. -Change the focus of the car. While still a costly thing to do, you may want to part out some of your "showy" items and start racing the car competitively. Perhaps road-racing? Maybe get your SCCA license? -Part the car out. This can work in some scenarios but you have to meet some criteria. You really have to have a source for stock parts to put back on (or have the old ones) and you have to have the time/skill to pull stuff off yourself and box/ship them out. It can get time consuming but others have no problem with it. Even so you wont get back as much as you'd hope. What I'd personally do is let the car sit for a month without doing CRAP to it. Don't wash it, drive it, anything. See how long you can go without going absolutely nuts and then drive it again for a week. If you can still bear with getting rid of it, start the process in whichever fashion best suits your needs. You're always welcome here, Z or not man :)
