Message Stock NA's typically dyno 175-180 RWHP and I think you will find that they are heavier than the mustang. Also, the mustang has a floating rear axle that gives better weight transfer than the multi link IRS on the Z so it will hook up much better. Stock to stock, it would be a close drag race, but if the drivers were equal, I would put my money on the mustang.

On a road course, the 300ZX has the edge due to its superior suspension system. This is especially true if the surface has any irregularities as the ridge rear axle on the mustang will tend to hop sideways producing noticable rear wheel bump steer.
