| I love my TT... but I suffered a great deal to get my car. # 1 mistake: I bought my car when I was 25 and working part time. I was only able to make a downpayment of $6,000.00 on a $38,500.00 car. My payments amounted to $692.76 per month for 6 years. Thankfully I paid her off a year early. I had to work full time for my car payments and that didn't include insurance. My schoolwork suffered and I ultimately worked too much to finish school. I am now in school to get my bachelor's degree and apply for Pharmacy school. #2 mistake: Maintenance on a sports car is pretty bad but thankfully I had no problems with my Z to date (*knock on wood*) But if I add up all the oil changes, the major services at 30K, 60k, timing belt service (expensive), and gas mileage, I spent a pretty penny on the above as well. #3 mistake: Liking the speed so much that I began to do performance and cosmetic upgrades, not to mention my stereo upgrades. All told, I spent about $20,000.00 additional for all the above parts and two alarms in addition to two different stereo systems I had in the car. All in all I am still happy with my Baby. She still looks like she just rolled off the showroom floor and I still get compliments. Unfortunately, she is my daily driver though, so I have some rock chips and stuff which is normal. If I had to do it all over again... I wouldn't have bought my car. I would have been happy with my old car and concentrated on school. After I was done with school, then I would have purchased the TT albeit used. I have loved the Z since I first saw it back in 1989 when one of my friend's parents bought him an NA for his B-day. All the commercials especially the "So I'm having this dream" commercial inspired me to lust for a Z. Right now I am just glad that she is all paid off and she is mine. I was laid off from a dot-com job... but I received a nice severance and that allowed me to pay off all my debts... I am debt free... Hallelujah!. I work part time now but go to school full time. So if there is anyone who is a teenager and looking into buying an $$$ sports car... think about it first. School is more important. Make the $$$ then spend it... not spend it before you make it.

I eat rice, I don't put rice on my car!
