| Dear PEwithaZ, Since you're quite knowledgeable about gasoline (heck, it's your profession), some of us (OK, me) would appreciate information on the history of California's octane reduction from 92 to 91 last year. Do you have a guess where it's going to go? I've got a Stage 3 TT that was running well at 15 PSI on stock turbos before CA reduced the octane (MTBE replace with methanol and new mix) early last year. This boost would badly smoke the stock clutch and a replacement was planned. After CA switched to 91 octane, I had to reduce the boost to 13 PSI and the stock clutch no longer slipped. That's the only good news. From what I hear most CA TT's have the same problem. I'm planning on Aquamist H2O injection but nixit's group buy is apparently off. Race gas isn't terribly available where I live in Santa Barbara. Thanks, GotZ?
