Message	*somewhere*. The car was made before the days of cheap computer storage in databases, but they would have it on file, most likely in a data storage area in Japan. If the FBI can track a vehicle by the serial # on the axle of a van, or a part of a broken taillight, that means the parts are tracked. But it is easier now with everything on computers.
