Hey guys, need some help over here... So I redid my trim pieces maybe 6 months ago and now chrome is showing again. I am going to redo them this time but this time I will do them the right way. I searched a found a good amount of info. Here is what I have come up with so far: It is best to remove the trim pieces (carefully) then sand and smooth out the surface. Then use primer and apply a few coats of that. Then sand down again. Then Paint with bedliner, I have found that Dupli-Color is what most people like (anyone have a better suggestion?). After a few coats of that is applied you let it dry for a correct amount of time (maybe a day or two). And last but not least to buy mounting clips and put back on the trim.
My biggest question is, how do you remove the moldings? I don't wanna be ruff with them and brake em'. So if someone could give me instructions on how to do this I will be very appreciative, and if someone could also confirm my data. Thanks guys
