OK here's the story.. a message was posted recently about Ash's ECU and specifically, what it costs to have a new PROM burned when you upgrade something (ie 555's or dual-pop).

Ash said he does the upgrades for free, and I thought this was strange because I was charged $100 for the 555 PROM from Z1 several months ago. I'm sure this makes Z1 look really bad, and frankly I was livid when I saw that I was charged for something I should have gotten for free. I called John just a few minutes ago, and they are giving me store credit. His explanation of the situation satisfied me, and the problem is solved. Moral of the story: if you have a problem with a vendor, keep your cool and give them a call. The guys at Z1 are VERY reasonable and I've never gotten anything but quality service from them in the past. I just don't want to see anyone badmouth Z1 on my account, because the situation is resolved. If anything, I recommend Z1 more now because of the manner in which the problem was resolved.
