Alright, I've got a little cash to spend on something other than maintainance (I've done the 60K), and I've been thinking about getting something for the exhaust. First, I don't have enough money for a full cat-back system (if I did, I would go with B&B), nor do I really need one with an NA. I have around $400 so I was leaning towards just getting some performance mufflers (Magnaflow, OBX, etc.), leaning towards Magnaflow. These might actually do me some good performance-wise as they will still give the backpressure the NA needs. I've listened to a bunch of clips of the Labree cat-back system which uses magnaflows, and from what I've heard, it sounds nice. But at the same time, Wagz and others have posted about how they didnt like magnaflow at all. So here is my problem: I like the sound of stock, I just wish it was louder; that's my main reason for considering a new exhaust system. I'm deathly afraid of making it sound anything like rice. By the end of summer, I will be purchasing new wheels and tires (SSR GT1's and Yoko AVS ES100's), so I need to start saving cash for those. Also, I have a list a mile long of other things I want to do (new fascia-mine is busted, clear corner lenses, J-Spec tails, new clutch, new brake rotors, etc.). So what are some opinions on the subject from you guys? If you've heard or had the Magnaflows, what were your thoughts (good and bad)? Is this going to "rice" my Z? Do any of you know of mufflers that sound close to stock but are louder? Do you think I should just hold off and save for the other things I need to get? PS I normally wouldn't even think of posting something like this to the forum, it's just too open to ridicule by the normal people here. But I actually do value some of your opinions, and it might help me make up my mind, so thanks.
