Message	your post was otherwise intelligent and well articulated. Had it not been for the peppering of "cop" and "rock" used in completely wrong contexts, it would have been excellent. To answer your question, if you cannot offord the maintainance and upkeep of one of these cars, do not get one. They are not cheap to fix and being that they are at LEAST 7 years old, stuff will break and wear out. your budget seems kinda low. Save some more money and get a cheap beater for now. However, if you do decide to get a Z now, get a 5 spd.
