guitarist (Greg Tribbett) is hands down the worsr part of the band. Ryan Martinie (bass) and drummer Matthew Mcdonough are phenomenal. You're right I haven't seen the music, but do understand that as a bassist that doesn't just play along with the guitar, Ryan has to have a lot of musical theory and talent to play. Also, I know that drumming is damned hard, but in my experience it is much more fun for either a bassist or guitarist to jam with a drummer versus a guitarist playing around with a bassist. I mean, all we (if you and I played) would have to really worry about is timing...for the most part.
I might have to pick up that DVD. See what you mean about Ryan and bass. All I know is that the end product from him is great and I love the sound of that Warwick Thumb bass... I will be getting a 5-string thumb soon...can't wait
