That female drivers on average do lack in spacial awareness when compared to their male counterparts. This of course is based on statistical averages, so there are cases when the reverse would be true, but in general, males are better drivers as a result of this ... which stems from a difference in central nervous system arrangement. Granted, we (males) suffer in the ol' communication department when compared to females because of 11-12% advantage they have in neuron numbers in the temporal lobes (the area responsible for communication). Nonetheless, the so-called "stereotype" of men being better drivers actually possesses true scientific validity.
