Have you ever sat down and watched people with car alarms? Most of them get sick of hearing it and don't even bother to check what is causing it. ALSO, my pager (which is way cheaper than those) will go a half mile. I don't know how good YOUR ears are, but 90% of the places I go to there is no way I can hear my car alarm with busy parking lots, parking garages, multi-story buildings, etc. And yet, almost everywhere I go (movies, department stores, malls, etc) I get reception just fine and I can keep track of EVERY little zone so I can see if it's just someone getting to close (proximity sensor goes off) or if it's a real break in (interior radar, door sensor, etc go off). And last but not least, you can put that bad boy by your pillow at night and rest easy knowing it's loud rining is going to wake you up moreso than the alarm outside. To the poster of this alarm, I'd go buy one AT a shop that was installing it...don't buy one off Ebay. You want a place that fully supports what they install.
