You could probably have the muffler ends and tips polished. When I had my na I ordered replacement mufflers from Nissan that were painted black (some nissan oem replacement parts are black), they were ugly as hell so i had my mechanic at the time polish them up for me. Nothing extensive but enough to get the metal to show through instead of teh crappy black coating. I'd suggest trying to have this done before shelling out money for tips.
