| Ok... First things... #1, this does wire DIRECTLY to the stock wiring harness. NO modifications to the wiring need to be done. It is a true PLUG n PLAY affair... #2, you DO have to modify the fog light housing, and the fog light support slightly. This is a "conversion" kit. Basically the bulb as seen in the picture below is a LOT longer than a stock bulb, and as such, you have to make room out the back for the rubber grommet. I used a 1" hole saw. Actually, I think I used just OVER a 1" saw, and the hole is a little big. I'd recommend just using a 1". Tools Needed: Drill 1" Hole Saw Bit Hacksaw or something similar Clear Silicone (or your color of choice) Catz H3c HID Kit Patience... Here is the main parts of the wiring harness... You can see the ignitor at the bottom left, the bulb up to the right and the power harness on the top left. The kit wires as shown below:
As you can see, or can't I should say... there is a small wire hidden behind the bulb. Basically the power still comes into the housing to the wire that would NORMALLY plug to the H3 bulb itself. You plug the red wire that goes through the grommet to it, then that wire connects to the fuse giving power to the ignitor when you turn the fogs on. Ground wire bolts to the chassis. I have a shot later that shows where I bolted the ground.
Here you have a stock fog light. You'll need to unclip the plug from the housing and remove the rubber air tube. You're then going to need to cut the plastic arch OFF the back of the housing, as you'll soon be drilling a 1" hole between it and the harness. You'll see in a minute...
 Different Angle
Here is the power wire I mentioned earlier. The wiring harness plugs to the red plug. I left the ground in the assembly attached to the factory location in the fog light assembly when I put it back together.
Here I've drilled the 1" hole in the casing. It more or less centers between the two studs you see on the housing. It sits middle between then vertically, and middle between them horizontally if you can see what I mean.
Here I've installed the bulb in the housing. Note the distance off the back and the grommet? This is why we've drilled the hole.
Hosing put back together. Note the hole is a "little" big. The grommet actually has about a 1/8" lip... so if you make a 1" hole, the grommet will just fit through and seal nicely. I'd still recommend sealing the grommet though.
I used some clear silicone my friend happen to have laying around (he was remodeling his bathroom). Not the cleanest install sorry, but I wasn't going to a prise winning install.
Here is the factory shape of the fog light support... anyone have any ideas where we might have problems with this?
Solution? Our trusting friend, Mr. Holesaw!
You need to basically trim into the corner of the support to make it look similar to what is shown here to allow the grommet and wires to clear the support. I smoothed the edges after I took this photo. Sorry about that...
I decided to mount my ballasts as high as possible. Finding a "flat" spot up in the nose is rather difficult... this was the best solution in my opinion. I figured wherever they were, if I got in a front end collision, they're toast anyway, so this seemed like the most logical location to me.
 Another angle...
 And another...
A shot with the air intake installed. I've since changed to an Apex'i intake, and there is MUCH more room between the ballasts and the air filter. My Stillen was rather dirty and I decided to change over.
Driver's side installed and working. Note I have HIDs in both lights on the drivers side, standard halogens on the left.
 A little further away.
This shot is to show the wires and the ground location. The bolt just visible on the left side of the opening I used for the ground. I passed the wires up and over the support. I removed the factory intake tubes when I had me engine out back in October/November. If you still have them, you'll just need to go through the opening down to the left of where they are in the photo. I have the ignitor wires running that way.
Another shot of the wires. Two notes. #1, you can see my headlight ballast to the upper right. If you don't have HID headlight ballasts in that location, and don't intend to get them, you could mount your ballasts here if you wanted. #2, make sure the fuse is sitting upright. I blew my Foglight fuse in the relay box a few times one day after it had rained the night before and kept blowing it (went through three fuses). Then I checked the fuse for the HIDs. It had turned upside down and was holding water... =( I drained them, and then ziptied them with the other wires to get the fuse to sit upright at all times. I also tucked the ignitor wires up to the left in this photo, on top of the bumper support.
Hope this was helpful... Please let me know if you have any questions. I'd be happy to answer, or take more detailed photos if you like.
