simular result...but different..when my brother bought a 1986 Mercedes Benz 500SEC... Because it showed 45000miles on it when he bought it 4 years ago. He did every search possible.
Including calling the past owners and enquiring the past dealers whom owned the cars to see if any service work was done. Well...the reason for such low miles is it was on its 2nd instrument cluster.
1st one was defective, and MBenz puts in a whole new one.
He talked to a previous owner whom confirmed and supplied the service record for this. Your case may be simular or...maybe its a second engine!
who knows..check other engine components..
