Message about filtration that's based on fear and not fact. Sure people have done some cross sections and made some subjective conclusions as to the filtration ability based on how the insides "looked" and how many check valves there are.

The bottom line is until we see some long term lifetime testing using filter 60U00 vs. filter 55Y00 on engine wear, we don't know whether the replacement filter will result in X% more engine wear over OEM. Perhaps there is a minimum filtration requirement for typical engine life that even a *Fram* can meet?

Does anyone have data that can attest to the long term affects of filtration? Until we see some good data, I don't see the point of running to the local dealer and hoarding 10 cases of 60U00 (sorry Yugobernie).
