Message	to do it. Plastic can move and not shape to the part correctly among other things. The best thing to use, and what I used throughout my car during my fiberglass work is tinfoil. Tinfoil, once laid down retains the shape you give it, unless drastically moved, doesn't deteriorate, easy to shape and control. Next time your doing some glass work, try it out...
