crap out of the car, get your seat comfortable setting that lets you get close & really get a hold of pedals under hard turning, get a helmet, do regular maint. before going out there (flush radiator, clean airfilter & TB's, run a fuel inj cleaner beforehand if plausable, check your brakes, etc.) - you want to have your car running cool to keep reliablity up. at the track- Learn the course, plan your WOT points and plan your turns in advance. The better you know the course the better your knowledge of where you need to put the car.
