I've got my flame retardant suit on so fire away. I have a 93 TTZ and will be installing HKS2530's soon. I'm on a budget, am older than the average member and don't drive the car hard (it's my DD). Obviously the 2530's can push >500rwhp which puts them at the limit of what 555cc injectors can handle. However, since I don't like to waste money, is it worth $200 more (or $400 more for the border kit) to get the 740cc injectors along with the fuel rails, machined lower plenum, etc.? I want to do it right the first time, but if the 555's will handle >500rwhp without flinching then I'd rather not spend the time and money on larger injectors. Search tells me ppl are split on this, so I'm hoping to get more solid answers than "just get larger injectors and be safe" or "740cc's idle like crap". Second question - and this one should get the flames started earlier - FMIC or SMIC's if I really only care about durability of the IC's and the car and the cooling capacity of the IC's (ie, I really don't care about the looks of the IC's as I'm not into building a showcar or impressing the girls)? Thanks in advance for sharing your opinion, whether I agree with it or not.
