| some might have read this: [ http://www.twinturbo.net/net/viewmsg.aspx?forum=general&msg_id=863685 ] well, after coming back from the hospital (w00h00) i take a look under the car and i find this. the 'splash guard' is riding on one of the PS lines. this 'splash guard' protects the alt (see at the very top of the picture)

i pull it back a bit to see its made itself into a 'wrench splash guard'

i find the fluid leaking from the bottom of the nut. it looks like it was leaking a tad and became just loose enough to leak pretty good.

so i shove the 'splash guard' back to the place it is supposed to be

tighten the nut (3/4 wrench..stupid american tools)

..clean up things..fill stuff up and good as new. simple solution..put the alt in a different location and no splash guard is needed. despite how much we bitch about the Z's engine bay..well..imho its designed pretty damn good in retrospect. and...the best part of the day. i am an uncle for the third time. w00h00. this baby has some big f'ing feet. i guess he will be like me a hung like a horse.
