The material is very commonly used for exhaust manifolds, it is not aluminized thin wall steel. If you search other forums for exhaust manifolds, you will find that most stainless manifolds (other cars, for example SR20DET) crack over time. Cast steel rarely cracks, it does not have a very high expansion rate. Its only drawbacks are corrosion and heat transfer. I will have them coated with the White Swain coating to solve these negatives. I was outsourcing these, but nobody seems to want to make any money fabbing them. I took some welding training and will fab up the first set in June. We a scheduled to open the new shop June 1st.
