Hey, Looking for a temporary fix here. My passenger side door speaker makes a high pitched whining sound which gives me headaches, and my driver's side makes a hardly audible clicking noise, LOL (stereos have never been #1 priority). Neither speaker omits actual music. I'm assuming both have blown amps. So I'm re-doing the whole stereo system pretty soon, but for now, to make it bearable, I'd like to just disconnect the front speakers so they don't drive me nuts, and make zero noise. So how do I disconnect any and all power to them? Where are the wires located? Do I have to get to the actual speakers themselves by taking the door apart? BTW, I have two aftermarket Alpine speakers behind my seats, which (I believe) are powered by an aftermarket amp, located behind my driver's seat in an interior panel. Those two speakers and my haedunit are the only aftermarket components, that I know of. The hatch speakers and the Alpines work fine. I'm assuming how the rear speakers are hooked up doesn't affect the front. Thanks!
