"I have this dream... where I write a paper for English class... and just as I hand it in, Nissan.... Sues... My...Ass....."

Actually, there are some good parts of the paper. But I'd be leery of using someone else's ad copy in my essay.

Heres a little essay I put together for my English class, I understand this post is totally unrelated to other post we usually get but...anyway this story is long but is well worth it if you bored or have nothing to do. To give the audience a brief description, the assignment of this essay was to write about "when your emotion ran high" so instead of writing about me crying over my ex- girlfriendS I wrote about racing an NSX and a SUPRA both at a same time on a 3 lane street and of course I hit an extraordinary emotional CLIMAX!!
PS: u might want to copy & paste and double space on MS Word if u don't want to hurt your eyes.

Racing has always been a sport that shoots a sudden rush through me. The gravitational pull against my body, the wind ripping through my hair and the sound of the fierce engine at work sends an indescribable sensation to my body as well as my mind. The “need for speed” is a phrase that I stand by. Racing carries my joys and fears to such an imbalance and stage of confusion that I reach an extraordinary emotional climax. The fear and embarrassment of losing and the thrill of victory and honor run through my mind as I speed through the streets. Therefore, it is no surprise that I experienced my peak of emotion during the most exhilarating race of my life.
It is a real controversy when it comes to whom I should and should not race. If I race a slow unworthy Honda it is sure a waste of time and gas and not to mention my life. However, if I race top-notch cars, like a Supra or a NSX, I am taking the biggest chance of my life. First, there is the embarrassment of losing, and then, to even think about challenging super-fast cars like the NSX is simply stupidity. But who's to say that I'm going to be embarrassed and feel stupid. Hmm…
During the warm Saturday night of October 21, 2000, I was on the road with the T-Top off (the convertible top that comes off in 2 pieces). As I was traveling 90mph on Highway 280, I felt the soothing humid breeze. I was on my way to work after a long hour and a half road trip to Gilroy. I had not encountered any potential challenges of racing throughout the 189-mile journey. After getting off the freeway exit, I made a hard left turn onto Sunset Boulevard, traveling eastbound. As I was scanning traffic through my rearview mirror, two pairs of bright headlights caught my gaze. Because of my two-hour tardiness to work, I did not take the time to speculate on the cars. While I was driving 45mph on the road, I quickly detected those ultra white sealed beam headlights that consisted of a tint of blue. The distinctive lights belonged to a high-class luxury car coming up on the left lane, and to my right came those super-white headlights projector only produced by a high sports car design. The two luxurious sport cars darted up quickly and matched my speed. As they ran parallel to my car, I recognized competition, and I knew that they wanted to play.
Here I was driving a fourteen thousand-dollar Gun Metal "Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo,” a sports car engineered to deliver unsurpassed real world performance. This performance is the reason behind its success for being voted “Best car of the year” for six straight years 1990-1996 by Motor Tread. The Z is wired with performance modification: 400-horse power 3.0-liter V-6engine and 0-60 in 4.2second in a 5-speed gearbox.
To my left was a cherry red, ninety thousand-dollar “Acura NSX.” Motor Trend announced that this is “A car, which not only rewrites the rules of exotic-car design, but also runs in a class of its own."
: This innovative sports car is equipped with 300 horsepower, VTEC (variable timing electronic control), 3.2liter, a V-6 engine and a 6-gear transmission gearbox.
Last, but not least, to my right was a forest green, fifty thousand-dollar “Toyota Supra Twin Turbo” a sports car that defines sophistication. It has been described as
: “A four wheeled symphony of perfection, conducted brilliantly” by Toyota Racing Development. This overweight sports car is packed with 320 horsepower, 3.0-liter V-6 engine and 0-60 seconds in 5.2 second. It is also a 6-speed transmission gearbox. These three supreme rear wheel drive sports cars possess an incredible aura, and each consists of its own unique style of fine craftsmanship. However, they all share three things in common. First, all of our convertible tops are off, and second, we all have enough gas to race down the road. Finally, all the drivers share the same mentality with one question in mind: “Which one is the fastest?”
As the three cars come to a stop at the red light, we looked over at each other. We nodded in recognition and were all aware what was going to happen next. The huge nineteen-inch, three-piece rims of the Supra glimmered in the moonlight, and the 2.5-inch’s lower age of the car added a chic style to the vehicle. The NSX was stock. A car like that needs nothing to catch anyone's interest, except for the lovely lady beside the driver. I look over, to see the inviting smile of an equally beautiful import sitting in the passenger seat. God bless beautiful women! She obviously noticed that we had been checking out each other's car for a while. I didn't notice her before because the beauty of the cars overwhelmed me. The driver looks, noticing that I was admiring his babe and his car.
“I want one of THOSE!” I yelled to him.
“You can have one if you have a hundred grand,” he said.
I was talking about the girl but maybe he misunderstood, or maybe he also meant the girl. The three drivers acknowledge each other’s desire to race, but the idea is still unsure. The street has a merge on the road about 1/8 mile of the way down, which means one of us is going to get left behind. Hopefully, that would not be me. Another merge into a single lane was up the road, and this lane would hold the final winner.
: My emotions intensified after hearing a remark from the driver of the Supra as he revved his motor:
“Hey fool, what you got!” I quickly thought to myself that this guy is talking gibberish.
“Oh, hell yeah, I'm going to love this!” I instantly reply.
The driver of the Supra gave me a smug smile as if I didn't know what I was competing against. I wiped the drool off my face, then I took one last look at that import beauty, the one with the nice set of headlights, and brace myself for speed. The time had arrived to show the power of the Z.
The lights were red, and all three drivers are revving hard, showing their purest power of their engine. I usually rev about 3500 rpm for the launch, but I figure going against these superior cars I better rev a bit more then usual. The NSX engine sounded ferocious, like a loud roar echoing from a tunnel. The sound of the, “silent but fast,” Supra's engine couldn't even be heard, as the NSX engine overwhelms my audio senses. I force a little more pressure on my right foot causing the sound of the Z engine to rev harder and louder. As I wait impatiently, I stare and waited for the yellow light on the opposite side of the street. Once it turned yellow, it would be time to dump the clutch. As I glance at the road ahead the red light fades, and a flash of green fulfills my dreams.
My rear wheels are spinning, not catching traction. My Z32 rear was fishtailing like an angry bull, then limited slip differs kicked in, and caught traction. I blew off like a bullet coming out off a shotgun. The NSX was right next to me, taunting me, forcing me to push harder on the pedal. The Supra was getting smoked; he was on my tai
