| lame ass auto tranny's...supposed to be able to handle 500rwhp+ but check this out. my tranny only has 12k miles on it. the past few days while driving (coincidently, the noise came after i floored the car because of some tail gater) which made me and others believe it was a stuck open starter. i replaced my starter and still the same noise(metal against metal) so i did some more research and looking around. after this and that..i ended up taking off the bracket that is in b/w the tranny and the oil pan, where the torque converter/flywheel shows. as i take off the bracket, i see lots of scratch marks, and then i notice a loose bolt just sitting there =c\ well the inside housing of the tranny is all scratched up, not sure if any real damage has occured..but ill soon find out with further research. so what happend was (from my mechanics stand point) is too much power for the tranny and the bolt shot out/unscrewed, and then was shot all around the inside. check out the pic of the screw, what it looked like, and now what it is...*sigh* http://www.beyondzreality.com/bolts1.jpg ]"> and....this is the bracket that i took off.
