Message Some of you may remember the little mouse incident I posted about over this past winter. To sum up, I had a mouse get into my interior. So, I spent the entire winter (which in the Northeast, was about 15 months) ripping the interior out, cleaning with a barrage of different products, putting the interior back, realizing on a warmer day I still had more to clean, ripping it out again, etc. times about 5 times.

Once that ordeal was somewhat over with, I decided to tackle my 60K service. I have a '94 with only 43K miles, but figured it would be best to change it anyways.

So I have been chipping away at it for the past few weekends. Minor setbacks, mini triumphs, etc. I got it all put back together yesterday. I was on the last step of the Tech writeup - filling the radiator. After about the 2/3 container of coolant and about half way through the distilled water part, the car was pissing coolant out all over the front of the engine. Great. Either I didn't seal the water pump enough (I used the gasket btw, it looked pretty damned thin to me) or I didn't RTV the water pipes enough. So, I swore. Alot. I even got to stage III mad which is singing made up swear words. I looked at the gas can in my garage and considered torching everything and making it look like an accident. Especially after all I have been through with this car. Alas, I went inside and had a bowl of cereal and took a nap for the rest of the day.

This morning I came to my senses. I had the day off for the Good Friday, so got up early and started tearing the front of the engine off again. When I got the water hoses off, I inspected the mating surface with a flashlight and found something very interesting that I had somehow missed before:

!!!!!!!!!! MOTHERF*CKER !!!!!!!!!

So, evidently my little mouse friend found a new place to live.

This is how much insulation I have pulled out thus far.

This is where you guys come in
Logic dictates I need to rip my motor apart now. One would think it's not healhy to have this crap in there, mainly for heat purposes. I'm afraid the engine would get so hot that it would start a fire.

Am I wrong to assume this? Do I need to yank my motor to clean/rebuilt portions of it? Does anyone want to buy my car? Does insurance cover mouse attacks?

While this might all seem kind of funny, it's just yet another thing in the continuing saga of crap that is my car. At this point in time, I really wouldnt have a problem torching it and my whole garage. I just don't know what to do. I would appreciate some comments, especially from the engine builder guys on what I might have on my hands here.
