Message chance to go through and talk to the prosecutor before the judge arrives. They'll ask how you want to plead. That is when you ask about traffic school if they don't ask you. They actually just asked me if I had taken it in the last 12 months, which I hadn't, so they gave me the paperwork to take to the clerks office and such, and then I was off to pay a smaller fine/ court costs and sign up for the traffic school. It may be different for you since you will be going to a smaller court system than that in Jefferson County (largest in the state). You can also probaably call the number on the ticket and ask the clerk who answers about your different options. HTH.
