Message I first tried the Skylines and though they were an improvement, even at the track, I think they are a waste of money. They help in terms of fade resistance, not overall stopping power, but you will eventually fade them at the track.

If you want better braking power and if you plan to go to the track, you will want to save your money up for one the bigger kits out there. Brembo, Stop-Tech or AP. I myself have the AP 6 pot system. The downside is that you have to upgrade your wheels in order for them to fit.

Mov'it makes a Porsche Big Red kit that fits under the stock wheels, but it is big bucks at something like $2800. For that kind of money I would rather spend my money on the other bigger kits.

Kinda off the subject, but I am building a 240SX/Silvia with an SR20DET for a lot of track use. I am using the Porsche "Big Red" 993TT calipers and rotors on my Silvia. It just so happens, that most of the kits for the 240SX (with 5 lug conversions) and 300ZX's are interchangeable. Since my Silvia is completely torn down and not available at this time, I am mocking it up on my Z. Here are some prelminary pics.

Don't look too closely as I don't have all the nuts and bolts secured yet. I have a few fitment issues in this proto, but nothing that cannot be overcome. It is a tight fit, but I think the stock wheels would fit, but I will confirm when I get all the fitment issues resolved. I DO NOT plan to run this on my Z, as I have the AP's. This should really be a good setup for my 2600 lb Silvia with hopefully 400RWHP.
