Skyline kit is rotors/calipers/pads/lines(?) Cost you a grand or so, and they do fit under stock wheels. Work great on the street, better than stock on the track.I run metal matrix, slotted, ss lines, motul 600. Worthless on the track, fine for the street. I can't imagine stock brakes on the track. For $499, you can get the VR4 kit from [ www.ginnmotorsports.com ] bigger rotors, bracket to mount stock calipers, metal matrix pads. You'll need spacers to run stock wheels ($100). WAY better than stock on the track. I just ordered the kit, but will be getting either Hawk Blues or EBC Greenstuff for the track, and will run Metal Matrix on the street. What's your use? just street driving? road race? auto cross? My theory is while big brakes are sweet, Stoptech, Brembo, etc, they REQUIRE 17 inch rims. 4 rims and tires plus big brakes is big bucks. I'll see if I have the time/money to run on a track more regularly. If so, I'll get 17 inch rims/tires for the track. Then, if I'm still into track driving, I can look into 17 inch street rims, and big brakes. And yes, I've read Carl Merritt's site. Follow the leader...
