| I owned a Lexus SC300 and racked up $12.5k in repairs on it. Thankfully the insurance paid all of it. The thing to remember is, it is easier to hydroplane on such wide tires. Also, I noticed you listed different tires for the front and rear in your profile. I had different brands for front and rear of my Lexus also. I don't have any evidence, but I think mixing different brands (or even just model of tires) will cause rear-drive cars to act erratic in rain. Things happen when we are most unaware -- be careful. Rain sux.
