I still play my 5-piece starter set from when I was in high school, but my cymbal collection is much nicer now than the original equipment: Zildjian 13" K hi-hats, 18" A medium thin crash, 19" Z Custom Rock crash, 20" Amir II ride (kinda cheap, but pings real well), and 8" Sabian splash. I agree with what you said about the price comparison with things other than cars, but damn! The cost of your cymbals alone must have been through the roof! Not mention hardware...last time I bought a crash stand was like $90 for a double-locking Pearl with a boom. The only thing you might consider now is another snare drum. A nice Piccolo maybe? You've definitely got yourself covered in the rack-tom department :-) Your set looks excellent. What kind of music do you play?
