For one, this goes along with what I've heard over and over but can never seem to convey to those people with stock/mild turbos that swear by putting 3" Random Techs on their cars. Basically, unless you are making serious power (700RWHP) you are FINE with 2.5" DP/TP/exhaust. Some say even more is okay with proper exhaust. In fact, it's better because there is less turbulence and area for the hot gasses to move around in once the fly out of the turbo. If I was going to have 750RWHP or something of that sort, I'd still stick with 2.5" DP/TPs and just change to a free flowing exhaust. You'd get an all around more responsive car rather than simply a dyno queen and you'd still do great on the dyno. 3" is just overkill at the downpipe level unless going past these numbers and going with HUGE, HUGE turbos and such. Hell, had you just used a Greddy SP on their test I bet it would have flowed MUCH nicer given the straight through muffler design (even though the bends are crazy). So if you switch to either a catback that's straighter, straight-through or 3" you'll rock that dyno :)In fact, I'd venture to say that the JWT with all the sound baffling in there is one of the worst measuring sticks they could have on there. Anyone agree? I'm trying to educate myself here as well...discuss.
