| Hi everybody, I just came back from Sunbelt engines. They dynoed a HKS GT2530 engine , and got 680HP out of it. Jim said though, that the turbos will make power to 24psi. The only problem was the exhaust!!! The car had a 2.5" JWT Genie exhaust. Looks like the 2.5" conventional shape exhaust is not good for over 600-650HP. The backpressure rises too much. He said though that if the car had the HKS Hi-power exhaust, or the Gred Dupree 2.5" exhaust, there should not be a problem with backpressure and high psi. The design of the HKS and the SZ exhausts reduces the increased backpressure, just because the pipes are straight, no bends or barely any. So anything over 550-600rwhp will need either HKS Hi-power, SZ , or any 3" exhaust system ( Brullen, B&B, etc. ) Anything over 700-750rwhp needs a 3" B&B:-)
