It can take advantage of the Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS), so it should be about as accurate as you can get when you can pull the WAAS signal. I use my ETrex Legnend (similar) with MapPoint 2002 software (the high end mapping software from MS ~$200-300). I am not offering this for everyone, but I would do it for you and Nixit for this cause ;-) I could put the .iso image on an FTP site if you like. When you use the Garmin unit with MapPoint on a laptop (serial), it is one of the best combos I have seen. Nixit would love tracking on this system...I was on dirt roads in Utah (near Monument Valley) and the roads still showed up on the map. Much, much better than the Garmin software. If you want to take me up on this, shoot me an email. Have fun and be safe, Mike
