I typed the whole question in my original post...oh well, sorry genic. Ok, here it goes for the second time... I've been looking for new turbos for two weeks now. I wanted something close to stock since I'm keeping stock internals and injectors. I contacted the guys at Z1, Ginn Motorsports, a few local shops, and Forced Performance. Eventually, I decided that FP's T25s. However, I was under the impression that these turbos would have new bearing cartidges. They apparently don't. Cory at FP told me that he could guarantee that these turbos would not smoke and that they had new journal and thrust bearings, o-rings, piston rings, fasteners, thrust collars, and seal plates. Would all this "guarantee" that they're not going to smoke? I have a shop 20 minutes down the road that will take my stock turbos and replace all the internals with new Garret parts and put a "more agressive" compressor wheel in for about $1000. Should I just do this? I just don't want to get these turbos from FP, get them in my car and they smoke. Any suggestions?
