the water cooling will keep the turbo cooler during long, hard pulls, which I *do* subject my car to. Although it is interesting that some of the newer turbos, as you say, do not have water cooling. I question, though, whether it can be said with any confidence that I don't need to worry about it........? Seeing how so few really race there cars around here, I'm don't think many folks really know the answers to those kinds of questions, and so I'm left having to err on the side of safety, assuming that I have to have water cooling.
