Like, what the hell? Yeah, you read that right. I had always said that one day I wanted to build something BIG for drag and the Z just wasn't it. I knew from day one the car just wasn't meant to be dragged (even though you guys are doing WONDERS with it) and if anything I'd roadrace it (even though the Z isn't exactly a road racer either, ya know?). Anyway, low-mid 12's is great for my Z, but I want to get into the 9's. I had originally planned to do this with a domestic car since that is my background...but you just can't drive those to the track, ya know? At least in the Supra...even though it IS ugly as sin...I can take it to and fro. Really the main thing I need to do is how to figure out how to make it look NOT like a stock Supra. Of course, going table-top like Jack sure accomplished that (it wasn't as bad in person, but it wasn't bubble-gum and cotton candy either). That being said, I'll probably widebody it for obvious reasons and slap on some fat rims. If only they made 13" Tracers ;) So where the hell did I find this thing? Well it kinda fell into my lap...otherwise it would have probably leaked out from the SoCal crew within seconds lol! No one can keep a secret here ;) Anyway, I was talking with a guy at work about cars and the Supra/Z thing came up and he told me his brother had a Supra that was for sale. Words like UPRD and such came up (the old one, not the new one) and I found out later in talking to his brother that he knew his turbos. Car is in near mint condition and he had no real idea of it's value. I made a VERY offhanded remark to F&F and he looked clueless...perhaps the ONE guy that hasn't seen it? LOL what a score for me. Anyway, the tan interior bugs me but I really shouldn't care about that. It's "full BPU" which I hadn't realized included a VPC and also has the Greddy 3-row front mount (600x300x100mm). My favorite thing is the glass headlights...yes GLASS. The Euro spec wasn't that crappy plastic so these look mint. I also like the color quite a bit too...I wanted a Z in green at one point but it's going to look strange next to my Z being Cherry Red. It has 67,000 miles on it and he was the second owner. Oh and YES it is a 6-speed...I'm not crazy ;) All for $19K. Anyway, here's two pics guys...sorry about the quality, I used my old Olympus that I kept at work and it sucks at dark photos. Check the Supra next to it, that's his other friend Josh and supposedly it has 700rwhp...good lawd! Hey Greg, we have something in common now...if only I looked like Kurt Russell too ;) Actually, you might know this guy ...he's on Supraforums I hear and with some weird middle eastern name, I'm sure he's easily memorable. His name is Sloof Lirpa. Ever heard of him? Was a nice guy...unlike most Supra owners ;)
