By adjusting the CAS you are essentially adding a degree or two to the entire map by changing the base timing. People do that because they can't access the ignition map to make changes on a point by point basis. With any stand alone, you set the base timing according the factory spec, then make timing tweaks to the map to get the best results. I understood what you meant, I just wanted to clarify for others that may be been unclear.
