The Z was innovative and way ahead of it's time. Even compared to many cars today, it's still ahead of the pack both mechanically and asthetically. Toyota's engineers could afford to be nitpicky because they had a checklist they had to match against the Z, and then afterwards they got to be "innovative". The Z engineers deserve $hitloads of praise for their work. I think we'll see something similar in a few years when the new Supra comes out. Although my suspision is that the Supra will be in a much higher price range this time around.
