Message	Some cities, counties have their own laws regarding exhaust. I believe CA state law has the 95dB limit, but I have seen numerous friends receive tickets for "modified exhaust" regardless of sound output. Only way to find out for sure is check the vehicle code for NY state and any applicable local laws. Requires some legwork, but go to any local library and you can have an answer within an hour.
