hoses... a lot of time, the water gets trapped there without making it into the engine. if you were truly hydrolocked, your engine wouldn't be running. : I was in Ocean City, MD this morning and it was absolutely pouring and flooding on the streets. As I turned a corner, very deep water was ahead of me but I had to go through it. I was nervous about hydrolocking my engine but after getting out of the water I was fine but then my engine stalled and I immediately started it back up with no problem. For about the next 10 miles I had some hesitation problems but after that my car worked perfectly. Should I still be worried about anything? I have no problems now.
