So I'm on E-bay and I bid on a nose panel for my Z, the small piece between the headlights, about the sized of a large coffee-table book. The item is just the plastic piece, not the metal bracket that comes attached to it underneath like on mine. The ad said "No reserve auction so bid with confidence!" So I win the auction at $32, which I did think was kinda low. When I go to check out with PayPal I see $60 listed for shipping and handling for the first time. "Hmmm, where did that come from?" I thought. He's a three hour drive from where I live. So I E-mail him and said, there must be a mistake, you prob meant $6 or maybe $16. Just drop it in a padded envelope and mail it to me, or for that price, I would take a train into the city and pick it up in person. I sent him my phone number and asked him to please call. Instead, he E-mails me back and says I owe him $92 and that he doesn't want to discuss anything on the phone. He said the shipping charges were clearly posted. I dunno, they are certainly up there now that the auction is over, but when I first checked all I saw was the "buyer is responsible for shipping and handling." I feel the amount is ridiculous. Am I missing something here? I've only bought on E-bay before, never sold. I did check the seller's history before bidding and it showed 7 sales with 6 positives and 1 neutral. Where do you draw the line on what is a "reasonable" shipping charge? I felt like he suckered me in by saying "no reserve" when in fact he was just using the shipping charges as his reserve. That was my first bad experience on E-Bay. What would you do?
