less contact patch = less rolling resistance (ie better milegeage) A wider tire picks up more road resistance, so if a wide tire it's a pebble, you will more likely have to correct for that.when I run my DOT legal race tires (255s all around??), steering becomes much more difficult. More specifically, I spend much more time correcting the direction of the car, because the tires are reacting to everything on the road. this is proven information. it is not 'nixit' data.
