I didn't do any scientific testing.
I talked to Richard of Aquamist. (owner, chief engineer, et.al of Aquamist...tippy top.)
I checked the DSM and TurboBuick Forums.

Richard said, and this is ALL i have to offer, "it significantly drops the efficiency of the intercooler".

My research on forums and webpages indicated the same.

I have considered removing intercoolers all together. But have done nothing to substantiate the removal of them, in lieu of water injectors.

We did do scientific/on-the-road testing with a thermocouple in the passanger intake plenum behind the throttle bodies.
